the beach in the winter//
i could feel the sand beneath my feet
hear the crashing waves
breathe in the fresh air
and enjoy the sweet sun
but something was different
there was snow piled over the sand
ice pieces in the crashing waves
brisk chill in the fresh air
and the sun was far away.
