Last night my friends and I were on our way to a basketball game and somehow got on the topic of our parents. My friend Eva (I know you're reading this girl ;)) and I both agreed our moms were our best friends and today I thought I'd write about it.
I know it's super cliche to do blog posts and write things on the internet about how much you love your siblings/parents/best friends, but seriously, I love my mom. The sacrifice she put up for me as a young mom, is incredible. When I look back on it, and think about how hard it must have been for her, I really, really am thankful. We fight like sisters, we're absolutely insane together, we sing and dance to prince songs in the car, we share too many clothes and pairs of shoes, and we're pretty much the best mother/daughter match out there. ;)
I've known a lot of people to lose their moms, to cancer, to illness, to whatever. It's so so sad to me, I can't imagine living a day without my mom. It's actually unimaginable.
Short & sweet as I'm packing up to go on a weekend retreat with my church, I LOVE you mom.

awww <3 you and your mom are the best together :)) haha
Awuh this is too cute! My mom and I have a great relationship! We're practically polar opposites. Not only in looks but in personalities, but we have a lot of fun together and she gives me great advice. Since we see the world from two different pair of glasses it helps to have another perspective. Even though we're so unalike we have this strange thing, where we'll say the EXACT same thing at the same time. We often get crazy looks because of it, and because I don't look like her daughter :P xx
how sweet!my mom and i have a really close relationship as well. i'm so thankful for it. we're so alike and she's..my best friend. :)
aww, this made my heart warm and happy. :) so sweet, kiley. xx

This is SUCH a sweet post. It's so special to have such a wonderful relationship with your mom. Though I did lose my mom to cancer a few years ago, I still cherish the relationship we had. It's made me who I am today, and I am still so thankful for that. With so many teenagers and young adults holding so much angst against their parents, it's refreshing to see someone who gets how important her relationship with her mother is. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face and restoring some of my hope in our generation. :)
:) this makes me so happy! my mom and i don't have a relationship like this, but i think it's so adorable that you and your mom do! someday, i have to meet your mom, ok ;)
This is so sweet, Kiley. My mom and I are more like mother and daughter, not best friends, but I'm still extremely thankful for all that she does for me. :)
This is so sweet :) My mom and I aren't the best of friends, but I do think we have a pretty close relationship. I can talk to her about anything, which is so, so nice. It bothers me so much when people bad-talk their parents. I'm glad you and your mom have such a good relationship! :)
